In Kabardino-Balkaria Nature Reserve nature complexes of North Caucasus are reserved. Local flora and fauna are unique nit only for Russia, but for the whole world. The territory of the reserve spreads in mountains, mountain meadows and forests. Its territories include greatest glaciers of Caucasus and Europe, here are a few five thousandths of the Caucasus peaks. The nature reserve is beautiful at any time of the year. It is treed slopes of Chegem and Balkar gorges, meadows and rocks of Sugan Apls, cozy valleys of Sukan and Khazidon and unique giant of famous Bezengiyskaya wall and glacier of the same name. The natural conditions of this area are severe. Glaciers here occupy more than a third of the entire area of the reserve. Spring begins only in mid-May, autumn comes at the end of July. The summer lasts about a month, and the winter is almost six months. The symbol of the reserve is the Caucasian tour. Most often these mountain goats can be seen on the slopes with a height of 2.5 to 4 thousand meters above sea level. Dozens of other species of animals and birds coexist with tours. In the reserve you can see a bear, a hare-hare, a huge black fretboard.
The best time for visit all year round, in May - June, you can see the blooming of a snow-white Caucasian rhododendron.
What to see: The Bezengiyskaya Wall, the Bezengi Glacier, the Dykh-Suu Gorge, the unique pine wood in the Bashil Gorge.
