Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve

Krasnoyarsky Krai
The Sayano-Shushensky Reserve is located on the western bank of the Yenisei, in places unaffected by human activities. Here, more than 100,000 hectares of pristine cedar forests, pure sources of the rivers of the south of Krasnoyarsk, more than 100 rare species of plants and animals are preserved here in their original form. The mountains are inhabited by the only population of the rarest representative of the cat family - snow leopard. The protected area is a recognized standard of natural purity in the region.
Travelling in the Sayano-Shushensky Reserve will allow you to come into contact with the world of wild nature. From the side of the ship you can see marals, bears, a herd of the Siberian mountain goat (Capricorn). As you move along the water surface in a southerly direction, the vegetation of the Western Sayan will be replaced from the dark coniferous taiga to the mountain steppes. The powerful energy of the Sayan mountains and the waters of the man-made sea of the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydropower plant will present travelers strength and positive emotions.
